The terms
Last updated October 28, 2026
These terms are the deal between you and Houston Party Co.. They apply when you use houstonpartyco.com or the planner app. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
Who we are
Houston Party Co. runs a party-planning site for Houston. Hosts post what they need for a party. Vendors, like DJs, caterers and venues, send quotes. Our mailing address is 2261 Northpark Drive #1126, Kingwood, TX 77339. You can reach us at hello@houstonpartyco.com.
Your account
You sign in with your email. We send a 6-digit code to that email, and you type it in. There are no passwords and no text messages. Keep your email account safe, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Give us true information. Use your own name and your own email, and keep them up to date.
For hosts
Planning a party here is free. You never pay us anything.
When you post a request, we send it to vendors who cover that kind of service in your part of town. Vendors see your event type, date, part of town, guest count, budget range and what you asked for. They do not see your name, phone or email.
Your contact info goes to a vendor only when you tap “Share my info” on that vendor's quote. You choose which vendors get it. Once you share it, that vendor can contact you about your party.
Post real requests only. Don't post a request for a party you aren't planning, and don't use a request to collect vendor prices for a business of your own.
For vendors
Joining is free, and so is reading leads. You pay a fee only when you send a quote. The fee is $5, $10 or $25, based on the likely size of the job. We show you the fee on the lead before you decide to quote.
Your first quote is free. Founding vendors, who joined through our founding invitation, get their first 3 quotes free.
You agree to these terms when you claim your profile or say yes to the founding invitation. We keep the date you agreed and the version of the terms.
If the host doesn't open your quote within 7 days, the fee goes back to your wallet balance on its own. It also goes back if the host closes the request before opening your quote. If the host opens your quote, the fee is spent, even if the host picks someone else.
The prices on your profile are starting prices. Hosts see them as “from” prices. A quote you send can't go below the price you list for that package.
A quote is your offer to the host. If the host accepts, the deal is between you and the host. We don't take a cut, and we don't handle the booking or the payment for the job.
We don't promise you any number of leads, quotes or bookings. How many requests come in depends on hosts.
Keep your profile accurate. Your business name, services, prices, service area and photos must be true and must be yours to use. Have the licenses, permits and insurance your work needs.
Use a host's contact info only to talk about the party they asked about. Don't add hosts to a mailing list, and don't sell or share their info.
The vendor wallet
Your wallet holds a balance that pays your quote fees. The minimum deposit is $50. Auto-refill is off unless you turn it on, and you get a receipt for every charge. Your paid balance never expires. It is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and you can't move it to another account.
Card payments are not live yet. When they are, a payment processor will handle your card, and your card number will never reach our servers.
We aren't part of the booking
We help hosts and vendors find each other. We are not a party to any deal between them. We don't check every vendor's work, and we don't promise the quality, safety or timing of any service. If something goes wrong with a booking, the host and the vendor need to settle it between themselves. If you can't reach the other side, write to us and we will try to put you in touch.
Rules for everyone
Don't use the site to:
- send spam or messages nobody asked for,
- harass, threaten or mislead anyone,
- post anything false, illegal or that isn't yours to post,
- try to get around the quote fee, for example by asking a host to contact you before you send a quote,
- copy the site's listings in bulk, or break or overload the site.
When we can remove an account
We can remove a request, a quote, a profile or a whole account if it breaks these terms, if it puts someone at risk, or if the law requires it. We will usually tell you why.
You can close your account at any time. Write to hello@houstonpartyco.com from the email on your account.
Limits on what we owe you
We run the site as it is. We work to keep it up and correct, but we can't promise it will always work or be free of mistakes. As far as Texas law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or harm that comes from a deal between a host and a vendor. If we do owe you something, it is never more than the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as the site grows. When we do, we update the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
Texas law
The laws of the State of Texas govern these terms and any dispute about them.
